HOSPITALITY-TRADITIONS

In Caorle fishing is a long-standing tradition and boasts one of the largest and most modern fishing-fleets in the Upper Adriatic.

Fresh fish is therefore most plentiful here!

It is very pleasant for the tourist when taking a walk to come across the fishermen at work mending their nets, to watch the fish being unloaded from the boats and to visit the fish market with its century-old traditions.

What advice should be given? Needless to say fish abounds on the tables of most of the local restaurants. Delicious grilled fish and seafood can be savoured, enjoying to the full the "true" flavour of the fish and the sea.
Those who do not like fish may walk away from the beach and inland will at once find characteristic restaurants where game and poultry dishes are served and where "pasta" is still "homemade".

Caorle represents both hospitality and tradition. Contact with seafaring people offers glimpses into unexpected ways of life and stories of adventures and misadventures which are as fascinating as legends because they have been handed down from father to son, their origins lost in the mist of time.
