| Caorle is an hour's drive from Venice and can also be reached by sea with a motor-bus service and it is situated in the centre of one of the most interesting parts of Italy, both from a historical-cultural point of view and for its beautiful scenery.
Only a few kilometres away there are the ancient Roman settlements of Concordia Sagittaria and Altino, with a wealth of outstanding archeological findings. The medieval buildings in the town of Portogruaro are no less interesting and the long walks along the banks of the lagoon, over the Veneto countryside and among the green vineyards - to discover "model" farms and picturesque taverns - are both soothing and relaxing.
