LIGHT

The light of Polesine is most particular and even paradoxical, often the result of the unstable relationship between land and water, as in the green and brown of the contryside, or the treacherous fog that envelops the territory in late autumn and winter.

A light that reverberates on the stones of the houses or pulsates with life among the reeds of the Po Delta or the waves of the open sea and the pale sand of the beaches.

When the sky is clear and the winds have swept away the fog, the trasparent light darkens only in the far blue outlines of the Euganean Hills and the vague hints of the foot-hills of the Alps mingling with the clouds hanging on the horizon.
