TRANSPORT FACILITIES AND EXCURSIONS
	Situated half-way between Messina and Catania (about 20 minutes by motorway, or by train), Giardini Naxos can be reached in a little under an hour from Fontanarossa (Catania) airport. The town is a good starting point for excursions to Taormina (her sister city, only 5 Kilometres away, and with whom she receives 55% of the tourists from all over the world who come to Sicily), as well as to Syracuse, Agrigento, Palermo the Aeolian Island, Etna and the pinewood of Linguaglossa (an enchanting and unique trip for sea and snow), and the vale of the Alcantara, with its picturesque gorge.
