| Porto Cervo was built from scratch and became the heart of the Emerald Coast. It is a village equipped with all kinds of services, able to satisfy the most sophisticated requirements. The atmosphere there is one of exclusive holidays and on the Promenade lined with shop windows displaying the creations of the most prestigious designers, it is not unusual to come face to face with holiday-making Vips. Numerous events of a highly cultural nature are held there in summer.
Concerts of classical music are held regularly in Stella Maris, the famous little church dedicated to the Madonna, standing on the hill looking down on the harbour. The church itself is well worth a visit: it houses a painting by El Greco, while the grandiose bronze doors are the work of the sculptor Luciano Minguzzi.
