| The area has good, indeed excellent hotel facilities, the result of its traditional reputation for hospitality. It possesses sports facilities of nationwide importance, such as the roller-skating rinks at Santa Maria Nuova, the baseball ground at Cupramontana, the fencing centre at Jesi and the table-tennis centre at Senigallia. So, following the ideal thread of a winding road far from the madding crowd, we have returned to Senigallia, perhaps to spend an enjoyable evening with the combined delights of fish and Verdicchio, fruits of the sea and the land. Tomorrow we can plan a trip to another destination nearby such as Arcevia, the caves at Frasassi, Gubbio, Urbino, Loreto, Recanati or Ancona. But even if we go farther afield, we will take with us the memory of the old bond of love between the sea and the land, this land of the Marches...
