In the civic museum of Finale which is situated in the suggestive S. Caterina's ex convent of the period of the Reinessance, it is possible to observe some Palaeolithic and Neolithic objects, testimonies of a history of this territory which began before the Roman presence. You can find Romans walls, bridges and parts of the ancient Via Giulia Augusta. In each coasting nucleus you can appreciate the signs of a historical evolution of Finale and outskirts, its protagonists. From the Gothic bell-tower of St.Biagio's basilica to the eighteen century cloister of Our Lady's sanctuary in Pia; from the Byzantine-Longobard fortifications on the hills of Capo Varigotti, to the buildings and the medioeval walls of Finalborgo, in the times gone by, connected to the fortification of Castel Gavone from the particular tower of the Diamond with an elliptical section. 10000 years of history surround your holiday!
