THE GASTRONOMY



The traditional genuineness of a cooking of a land where you can find sea and mountains, becomes an alimentary culture where the semplicity of this sea-folk's dishes mingles with the peasant's inventions. Wrapped in the parfume of the "trenette" (a typical kind of pasta of Italy) and "lasagne" (another kind of pasta) with "pesto" (a particular Ligurian sauce), you will know "cappon magro" a famous and old dish of fish; "cima" and famous stuffing which conserve the typical fragrance of the inland sweet herbs. And they are aromes which give a particular taste to the snails cooked in our best restaurants.
Then you can appreciate a lot of dishes with perfumed vegetables to alternate with our traditional "buridda" of fish. The sunny hills of this area will offer you wines, for example Lunassima, with yellow reflexes, or the slightly aromatic taste of Vermentino, there is Barbarossa wine, very aromatic, produced in small quantities and considered among the best Italian wines.
