| In the middle of the nineteenth century, spas became a European phenomenon and Latium was rediscovered as the "region of waters". Indeed, no other people had enjoyed such a joyful realtionship with water.
Over the centuries it had been associated with excellent works of art, incomparable architecture, and had even been used as a decorative element.

A unique attraction for light that now combines the great thermal heritage, renewed according to the principles of modern science, with the history, archaeology, art and folklore of the region of Latium. And it is a complete holiday,because the tour itineraries in the vicinity of the region's spas are many and varied, particularly rich in monumental attractions ranging from traces of pre-Roman civilization to the period of Augustus, from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance and the Baroque period. Holidays and not only "taking the waters", even though aqueducts and fountains, ruins and bridges, all recall days gone by and constructions all connected with water.
We need only follow these traces because, according to the poet Pindar, "the most beautiful thing in the world is water".
